A Disk and No Signatures of Tidal Distortion in the Galaxy “Lacking” Dark Matter NGC 1052-DF2

Using ultra-deep imaging ($\mu_g = 30.4$ mag/arcsec$^2$; 3$\sigma$, 10"x10"), we probed the surroundings of first galaxy "lacking" dark matter KKS2000[04] (NGC 1052-DF2). Signs tidal stripping in this would explain its claimed low content matter. However, find no evidence tails. In fact, remains undisturbed down to a radial distance 80 arcsec. This triples previous spatial explorations stellar distribution galaxy. addition, globular clusters (GCs) is not extended relation bulk (the radius containing half GCs 21 arcsec). We also found that surface brightness profiles g and r bands decline exponentially from 35 That, together with constant ellipticity position angle outer parts strongly suggests presence low-inclination disk. consistent rotation for object. finding implies dynamical mass factor 2 higher than previously reported, bringing line galaxies similar mass.
